Operation School Bell
Fundraising Pamphlet for the Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati
Objective
Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati aimed to start a new tactic for their back-to-school philanthropy initiative, Operation School Bell. The goal was to send the pamphlet to potential donors to provide clothing and hygiene items to K-6 students in the Greater Cincinnati area, who are on free or reduced lunch.
Research
Sharon Zamberlan, former president and active member of Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati (ALGC) provided insight on Operation School Bell, and ALGC’s prior initiatives with the event. Previously, ALGC used dated, black & white pamphlets, but was looking to liven up the initiative and inspire donors with color, imagery and personal experiences.

Color Scheme & Typeface Experimentation
Incorporating color and images was very important to members of ALGC and the pamphlet initiative. Specifically, the colors of their logo.
Digital Iterations
To place creature mark into a typographic scene with an interpretive phrase encapsulating the creature’s personality, habitat & natural behaviors. I aimed to create a composition that was appealing as well as cohesive, using the Fibonacci proportions.
